EXPONENTS
An exponent stands for however many times you are multiplying the number. The number that is being multiplied is called the base. You take the number and multiply it by itself however many times the number is being raised too.
For example (5)(5) = 5^2
You would you use exponents in your life in collage in high school. You have to use them with calculus and pre calculus
